everything is a prayer;
scrunch, scrunch, scrunch-snow packed walk
chimes compete echos silence
the prayer is answered.

how well you served our house and welcomed all with your spice of pine.
one last long deep breath as I prepare you for your new home;
the earth awaits your company.

poinsettia shouts, "look at me!!"
magenta snap dragon sits deeply.

Practicing

Strong black lightning,
Dove gray sky promises snow,
Templed pain,
Tonglen for you

out my window

evergreen has accepted more snow into its arms;
now that the leaves are gone I can see the tree.
